Adur Model car club have been pursuing a new tarmac onroad track, almost since the existing track was laid. The current track is quite small, having a straight of 13 meters, and an overall length of less than 50 meters.
This results in sub 10 second lap times, but only allows 6 or 7 cars on the track at once.
In addition to the size, the track was laid in appalling conditions, and the tarmac has been degrading ever since, with small forests of vegetation pushing their way through every year.
For the past 5 years, the club has been searching for a suitable venue, which will allow I.C. cars to run, and provide a much larger area.
